On 4/20/10 at 14:44 hrs The Tenafly FD was dispatched to 253 West Clinton Avenue for a report of a working house fire.  Car 510 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire in the attic of the structure.  510 then requested a mutual aid F.A.S.T. team from Dumont, an Englewood Truck and a Cresskill Engine to the scene.  1st Due Engine 1 Stretched 2 attack lines to the attic and began attacking the fire.  Tower 2 arrived on scene and its crew began venting the structure.  Squad 2 hit a hydrant on its way in and fed Engine 1 due to the original hydrant being broken.  Squad 2's crew then went to work with Engine 1's crew.  Arriving mutual aid companies assisted TFD crews with knocking down the fire and containing it to the attic.  Fire units on scene were Car 510, Engine 1, Tower 2, Squad 2, Englewood Truck 1 , Dumont Rescue 3, and Cresskill Engine 1.  Covering at TFD were Dumont Engine 5 and Bergenfield Ladder 742.  Photos Courtesy of Brett Dzadik -  Brettsfirephotos.com
